I stumbled up the steps, fell helpless on the floor
My heart was blue and cold, my pulse was faint and poor

ďWhat can I do for you?Ē the surgeonís voice was clear
I gazed upon his face and love erased my fear

I pulled my heart right out and laid it at his feet,
Crushed and badly bruised, a soft and fading beat

My heart is pained I told him, itís filled with hate and shame
But someone told me Jesus, can heal the sick and lame

He lifted me with care, my heart upon my chest
And took me to a room, so filled with peace and rest

Some jars stood on a shelf, their contents pure and bright,
The Word of God said one, the other Truth and Light

The surgeon cut my heart, slit deep from side to side
He saw some unforgiveness, some arrogance and pride

Iíll cut that out he said, and fill the hole with balm
The one thatís sourced at Gilead, and brings true rest and calm

With caring hands he worked, and rinsed my heart with life
And used the Word of God, its blade a gleaming knife

Then using silvered thread, he stitched in rows so neat
I felt the rhythm throbbing as my heart began to beat

ďOh wow!Ē I cried amazed, the feeling was intense
A surge of power and love, my gratitude immense

The surgeon smiled on me, as strength rose fresh and new
Now go and spread the word, the workers they are few

And so Iíve shared my tale, with everyone I know
Iíve shown the scars of love, and let his mercy flow

And still the wonder lingers, the joy at what heís done
For Jesus is my surgeon, Godís healing through his son

Accept Jesus as Your Savior Right Now and be Certain of Eternal Life.
