FaithWriters.com news and information for the write-brained Christian!
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a (NIV)
We all think we know how to love. But do we? Or, more importantly, are we loving God's way? Reread the above scripture and ask yourself what areas you need to improve on in the love department. And then spend this month working to grow in order to love better. Your husband, your wife, your children, your friends, your co-workers…they'll thank you for it. And even better, you'll be pleasing God.
Because this month is the official "Love Month", it should come as no surprise that Love is the focus of the Out of the Mouths of FaithWriters section at the end of this newsletter. Be sure to stick around and see what some of our members love about their significant other.

A NEW WAY TO CONNECT
By now, hopefully you're aware of the fact that there are a couple of ways you can connect with us online and stay in the loop about everything that's going on at FaithWriters.com. You can follow us on Twitter (http://twitter.com/FaithWriters) or become a fan of FaithWriters.com on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/pages/FaithWriterscom/57523436628?ref=ts).
And now there's yet another connecting point. FaithWriters has its own blog!
While the newsletter reaches a huge number of members and is a great way to provide you with news and information on a monthly basis, the blog is updated at least three times per week, which means you get immediate information on things you want to know now. Like details about the writers' conference, The Page Turner contest, Writing Challenge, and other breaking news. The blog will also be a source for FAQ's about various aspects of FaithWriters, occasional member interviews, and possibly even fun giveaways!
So far, posts have included information on the new Level Program, details on how the Writing Challenge works, and the difference between publishing Rights. Oh – and be sure to check out the interview with FaithWriters owner and creator, Scott Lindsay. Meet the fascinating man who started it all!
Whatever you do, be sure to subscribe so you will receive a notice each time a new blog entry is posted. That way, you won't miss a thing! The url is easy to remember: www.faithwriters.com/blog. There is also a link posted on the FaithWriters website.
Looking forward to connecting with you!
THE NEW LEVEL PROGRAM
So have you adjusted to the changes FaithWriters made last month? We know any form of change can be difficult, but so far, it seems that most members are on board. We're grateful for your understanding and support as we continue to do our best to provide you with excellent benefits at an affordable price.
The area to take the biggest hit has been the Weekly Writing Challenge, as the Challenge is now only available to GOLD and PLATINUM members. You may not know, however, that you can sign up for a GOLD membership on a month-to-month basis. This allows you to gain access to the Writing Challenge at the times when it's most convenient for you.
Another note: It is now possible to sponsor a GOLD member. If you know someone who just can't swing the cost ($5.95 per month) and would like to pay their monthly fee, whether it's for one month or one year or longer, your gift would be a blessing to both that member and to FaithWriters. Click here for more information on sponsoring another member: http://www.faithwriters.com/sponsor-gold-platinum.php
We hope that you'll join us as we leap to new levels!
CONFERENCE IS A GO!
Thanks to all of you who let us know that you definitely plan on attending the next FaithWriters conference. Because of your enthusiasm, the conference has been given the official go-ahead! Woo-hoo! Details are being worked out, so stay tuned for more information.
In the meantime, if you are unable to attend but would like to help another member reap the benefits, consider donating a specific amount (and no amount is too small!) through PayPal, which will be pooled together with other donations and applied towards helping members who desire to come to the conference but just can't afford it. Visit this message board thread for all the details: http://www.faithwriters.com/Boards/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=28184
And a shout-out to Catrina Bradley, the brains and heart behind the pledge drive. What an incredible blessing she is!
OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF FAITHWRITERS
In keeping with the February "love" theme, last month FaithWriters were asked to send in their answers to the following question:
NAME ONE OR TWO ATTRIBUTES YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER.
NOTE: I have to say, we received more responses to this question than to any other so far and I got choked up reading all of the lovely sentiments. Man, you guys love your spouses! Which is very cool. Unfortunately, only a few could be posted here. But I encourage you to start a thread on the FaithWriters forum where you can madly gush about your significant other.
Here are just a few of the beautiful answers given to this question (note: you might want to grab a tissue or two):
"My husband has been such a wonderful encourager and supporter through my cancer journey. Not only is he been wonderful to me, but he still ministers to others through music, phone calls, and visits. I thank God for the wonderful man he has put in my life." – Kathy Bruins
"Although it is difficult to limit my choices to only two, I have attempted to do so. First would be her undying loyalty, and the other her inexhaustible love." – Jim Lane
"After 38 years of marriage as of February 12th, six children and fourteen grandchildren, my husband remains my partner in life and in ministry as well as my best friend. He rejoices when I rejoice, he mourns when I mourn, and He loves unconditionally. He is the most patient, loving, forgiving, and merciful man I've ever met which makes it easy to celebrate the bond of unity created by faith in Jesus Christ every day of our lives." – Jan Ross
"My Significant Other is pushy...he pushes me daily to reach for greater depth in my relationship with God and Jesus." – Linda Boulanger
"To name just one or two attributes seems almost impossible since my wife of over 30 years is now even more than ever the SWEETHEART I married. But here are a couple.......The ability she has to ALWAYS make me feel like a king while I know she is the true Queen of the home/marriage. The way she has disciplined herself to wake up early and give God the first fruits of every day. (4:30am) while always having time to think of others." - Brian haugrud
"Most of the time for better, occasionally for worse, we're in this thing together and he sometimes holds my purse!" – Janny Wilson
"What I love about my husband is that he is so gentle with me. No matter how 'snippy' I can get he almost always answers me with a gentle response." -Pamela Kliewer
See what I mean? Go ahead…take a moment to wipe your eyes.
Now for next month's question:
OTHER THAN JESUS, WHAT ONE BIBLE CHARACTER WOULD YOU INVITE TO LUNCH AND WHY?
Please send your one or two sentence response to: email@example.com
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS AND SUPPORT FOR OUR MINISTRY. GO LOVE ON SOMEONE THIS MONTH!
AND KEEP WRITING FOR THE KINGDOM!
