For many years I was a church secretary and wrote every day. Then I became a college publicist and wrote every day on my job there, too. Now, I am retired and can write what I want to write when I want to write it.
I am currently writing family memories as the years are ticking away, and my family has asked me to record our family's history as I remember it.
I belong to a great writers group called RICHMOND CHRISTIANS WHO WRITE in Richmond, VA. We have a monthly meeting from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on a Sunday afternoon. I have learned so much from my fellow writers, the visiting speakers, and the critique sessions. Some of these things are: write tight, write well (not sloppy), pay attention to every word, and of course, honor the Lord in all you say.
