I live in Kent, in the south of the United Kingdom, with my wife and four children. My parents and grandparents taught me the importance of the Word of God from an early age. Although I was attracted to the Lord Jesus, I was too self-centred to commit myself entirely to Him. As a young man, a lack of peace and assurance led me to read and re-read the Epistle to the Romans, where I found peace and certainty. Now I know that all blessing comes from the Lord, and I would love to make His Word better known as it has been such a blessing to me.
I studied biochemistry and I work as a scientist, but try to find time to write when I can! One of my favourite quotes is from a French preacher of the 19th century, Aldolphe Monod, who said, “Lord, direct my pen, and give me thoughts and words that can glorify your Name, feed your people and convert sinners.” I would love my writing to be like that! PS My new book has just been published - "Fruit for Christ's Labour". It explores some of the wonderful results of Christ's death and resurrection. It is available on amazon (print and Kindle)
