Thank you all for visiting my profile page!
I began writing small “books” for my family since I was eight years old. When I was ten, I received my first journal, which my godly mother suggested I write to God in. I have always been a missionary at heart, and a lover of all language. I went to Moody Bible Institute to pursue that dream. However, life managed to get in the way. So I decided to convert America instead of Africa through my music. I earned my degree in music therapy from Western Illinois University in 1999. Most of the time since then, I have run my own private practice, which required a lot of writing. I wrote copy for my business, brochures, a website, performance programs, and medical reports. Creatively, I have written a lot of music, and assisted students with writing their own songs. Unfortunately, the state cut all music therapy funding this last year. But I was actually excited. You see, God had been nudging me to write for the last two years, and He placed everything in just the right position to make it possible for such a time as this.
I simply love to write - always have. I have a box full of journals from since I was ten to prove it. I love taking an idea and crafting it into an intriguing tale, or a soulful song. I love to write things that speak to people’s hearts. Am I a missionary? You betcha. And writing is my new platform.
I am also the mother of two inspiring girls, and the wife of a heroic man.
What do I write:
Currently I am working on a Christian romance with a contemporary fantasy twist. This book is scheduled to be written and revised by the end of September, and has not yet been contracted with a publisher or agent. If you are looking for such a novel, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am also looking for freelance work with publications and/or web sites with the topics of Christianity, music, medical, health, fitness, diet/nutrition, pets (particularly dogs, cats, and horses), dance, art, drama, homeschool, autism, and more.
