Shirley is a writer, educator and Christian musician. She has published writing on the web. She also has two teaching credentials and a Masters Degree in Education and particularly enjoys teaching children with learning disabilities. She has served in Children’s Ministries in various capacities over the years. An outdoors enthusiast, Shirley enjoys such activities as skiing and camping. Raised on a farm in the Midwest, she is also a lifelong gardener. In addition, she has 35 years of backpacking experience, and she and her husband especially enjoy introducing the pleasures of the backcountry to others. Shirley has been a devoted Christian 40 years and is currently a musician on a “HOP” worship team. She and her husband have been married for 35 years and have three grown children.
