I started penning stories when I was five-years-old and learned the wonder of stringing letters together to make words, and words together to make stories. Professionally, I've been writing since 1976. I collected more than 200 rejection slips during my three decades as an apprentice wordsmith. Finally, determination and tenacity paid off when I received "the call" from Five Star|Gale in September of 2005 for my debut novel, Tropical Warnings: A Wanderlust Mystery. I think one knows they're a writer when writing is something they have to do to survive and remain alive. Like breathing, I write because I have to. I sometimes think it is ink, not blood, that runs through my veins!
