I am a teacher, mother and grandmother who recently published my first novel, Angel with a Mission. It is based somewhat on my great-grandmother's life. She was an opera singer in Germany in the early 1900's. While I embellish a bit to make the book more inspiring, it is based on her struggles in life as a young woman trying to balance a career and a marriage--definitely a very rare and difficult challenge in her day when it was virtually unheard of for a woman to attempt this. She went through great difficulties as did my grandmother, but her faith in God helped her to overcome the difficult, trying and tragic times and speaks to women even in this day who face similar challenges. It is also an encouraging and inspiring message that underscores Romans 8:28.
