I've been a Christian for about two decades. As a children's writer,I'm very concerned about trends I see in children's literature. There is too much fascination with the occult, for example. I'm a member of S.C.B.W.I., and even find a lot of this amoung writer-members there. I want my writing to count for Christ's kingdom purposes, even when it does not explicitly mention the gospel.
I'm semi-retired from classroom teaching, and need to gradually build
an income-producing writing career.
I majored in biology & completed graduate science and education courses. I even completed a graduate course on evolution, because I wanted to understand more about what is wrong with macroevolutionary thinking. I'd like to write about science, especially creationism. There is a lot more to that topic than most Christians know.
I've had a few things published on web sites, but nothing major on paper yet.
Right now I make a substantial income by tutoring. I spend my discretionary time writing, public speaking, marketing what I write, and doing some volunteer work.
I'd like to pray & strategize with other Christian writers about promoting Christ's world view amoung American children.
