For more than seventeen years of my life I attended church religiously with my family, but, before turning eighteen, I learned at an after school Bible Study that my religiosity couldn't take me to heaven. I learned it was Christ who provided acceptance with God because He alone satisfied God's righteous claims against sin by dying on the cross. One Friday night, (after fighting against the fact that salvation is by grace and not by works for about two months,) I acknowledged to God I was lost and I needed His forgiveness. Through His written Word, I understood God cannot lie, His word is trustworthy, and I accepted His promise of Eternal life through faith in His Beloved Son, the Lord Jesus. I have been a believer for seven years. I enjoy reading and writing poetry and fiction. My writing is generally about the Christian experience.
