“Life is lined by words that leap into the atmosphere of the abstract and land on paper to create a concrete picture….of the CREATOR.” -EVEidenz
Born on the lower Eastern Shore of Maryland, to Larry L. Carr, Sr. and Annette P Carr, Shirley Carr became fascinated by the power and significance of words at a young age. As a young person she would escape through the pages of many creative writers. Without a formal greeting, poetry adopted her. It was through creative writing that her passion for the community, education, history, and the arts grew. At the age of 12, Shirley published her first group of poems in a chapbook, Sit In Not to Be Sat On.
Shirley Carr currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland and writes under the pseudonym EVEidenz, and S. Carr. She stands on the firm foundation that love, faith, and service are keys that open the meaning of life. Shirley has published ebooks such as Due Season: Carrying a Vision, Flow Right Now: Handbook for Poetry Groups, and PeopleProfile: Career Development. Currently she is working on her first group of essays entitled, Far On The Way.
