Greetings. I am Karen Chatham, your sister in Christ Jesus. I have been a Christian almost all of my life, raised in the church,educated for 3 years in a Christian school, and baptized at the tender age of 9.
My life took a 360 turn in my teen years,however. Throughout my twenties, many self destructive choices and their results sent me on a slick downward spiral.
After my oldest son was born, I knew that I was accountable for his knowledge of the merciful God that I had abandoned. That was the beginning of a restored relationship with our Great Creator,His Son, and the Holy Spirit.
With a resurrected passion for the Lord,I started teaching children's classes which led to becoming the praise and worship leader for the children's program. In the midst of this I became a member of BSF, Bible Study Fellowship International, which is a very deep study of scripture, usually studying one book of the Bible per year. I am now in my 5th year of this 7 year study. Because of this study, I was motivated to teach Children's Church and discovered that children are very capable of understanding the deep truth of the Bible. Teaching this class motivated me to become certified as a Restorative Therapist through Therapon Belief Therapy Institute and also though FBCTI. We have since moved to a new location and to a new church where I continue to teach children.
My goal is to make easily understood lesson plans available to aid parents and teachers in helping children(and adults)to learn a deeper knowledge of the Bible.
I also enjoy writing creative devotionals, poetry, songs and scripture prayers in an effort to move hearts to a greater love and passion for our Lord.
