I grew up in a minister’s home in rural Mississippi and followed the family tradition of ministry for several years before taking a dive into the insurance and financial industry. When the flood of financial woes hit our markets in 2008 I looked for higher ground (one with a paycheck!). I landed on the business side of healthcare in a non-profit facility in Central Mississippi.
I have done mission work in Brazzaville, Congo as well as secluded areas in northern Congo near the Cameroon border. I have visited Paris, Athens, Istanbul, as well as the nation of Israel. From my travels, I have gained a wealth of experience and knowledge that I enjoy sharing in my writing.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministries from Southwestern University in Waxahachie, TX. Along with my degree, I acquired a sincere passion for writing. I have had both secular and religious articles published in regional and national magazines. I have also written weekly devotionals for the local newspaper.
I am a proud husband, father and grandfather who enjoys spending time with my family, as well as my Cocker Spaniel and Boston Terrier, at my home in Meridian, MS.
