What if someone wants to purchase something I've already written?
One method is to simply place a price tag on the word count of your piece. If you have an article that is 1,000 words and place a price tag of one cent per word you should receive $10.00. If you place the value at a nickel per word you should receive $50.00. It may be important to come to an understanding of who is seeking to purchase the piece and what use will the have for it. You should also be very clear what rights you are giving for the price you quote.
