Faith of America
Today we have a new president.
Many attended, many were sent.
While I did not attend in the flesh
America watched the media express.
For some, he was their heart and soul
But only time will tell of his control.
The office holds respect for command
That in not always true, of the choices of a man.
Today in two thousand nine
What will the inauguration bring with time?
History was made on this important date.
For a first was chosen, for those who wait.
Our hope is that he fulfills the dream.
Of Abraham Lincoln's integrity scheme
On this important election day
May God direct, is all I can say.
