TRUST JESUS TODAY
A trip through my life. The blessings of God.
Godís richest, fullest, blessings;
Are the gifts of His dear Son;
The only way that sinful man
Could ever have even begun!
To find the one and only Way
To the mansion prepared above,
To be led by Him, all the way,
By His great, unending love!
The gift of the Holy Spirit,
To lead us on the Way;
Who all so softly guides us,
Walking beside us every day!
But, there are other gifts Heís given
To me, and, yes, to you;
Which enhance our daily lives,
And really carry us through!
The gift of loving parents,
Who really and truly care,
Safeguarding our very lives,
Enriched by their daily prayer!
And, as we grow in years,
Making choices not all our own,
We learn to lean on the Spirit,
Our choices He will condone.
Then, through our married years,
Our lives, Heíll surely bless;
Helping us to overcome,
Each time we are under stress!
Blessing that home with children,
Guiding as we give them care,
Carrying our prayers to God,
Giving joy beyond compare!
Heís there in those saddened days
When we must let them go;
Allow them to try their wings,
God has planned it so!
Then, what a joyous blessing,
The grandchildren as they come.
More time to pray for them,
As they bring the darlings home!
But, oh the extreme joy
When the great- grandís are born,
What a blessing, to have them;
As they fill our hearts with song!
And itís all a gift from Jesus,
Our Savior, and our best Friend.
May we have done the best we can
When our earthly lives shall end!
