Paul was aware that prayer was divine power. Nothing will energize or encourage us more than seeing God answer prayers. Our biggest tragedy though is not unanswered prayers because God always answers prayers but it is un-prayed prayers. But why don’t we pray??? Look at the power we have available to us! We can “be filled with the fullness of God.” Eph 3:14-21
God is able to “do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.” He even knows that we will not be able to even think of such power. Yet, He is available to us. He provides us with our own personal direct power line and we can use it boldly.
We face battles today against Satan and his demons. The world, Satan and our own desires are against us. So we desperately need power for today. We must “fix our eyes on Jesus” and ask for the overcoming power of God to be poured out on our lives so that we can overcome our sin and be the witnesses we should be. The Power is there. We just need to “plug in” to it. That power can help us overcome any bondage on our life.
So….What are we waiting for?
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16
The demons tremble and cower in fear – knowing their punishment when we pray! How much damage do we accomplish in Hell with our prayers!?
14 - For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ……….19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Eph 3:14-21
