TITLE: Make Them Safe

This poem comes from dealing with my own past abuse and forgiveness and the horror of knowing it is going on around me all the time and I am so helpless to do much about it. I know God allows it although Satan is the cause of it, but I also know God can and does bring good out of some of it for His honor and glory!
Make Them Safe 10/29/08

Suffer not the little children
And break away their trust,
With dirty deeds done to them
Especially out of lust.

Suffer not the little children,
In their beds they cry at night,
When darkness has enveloped them
And all they know is fright.

Suffer not the little children
With Jesus' hand upon their heads.
Woe be to the sinners
Who astray these ones have led.

Suffer not the little children,
For God's deemed them as His own.
In His eternal kingdom
They'll be gathered 'round His throne.

Suffer not the little children,
Leave them precious as they come.
Love, cherish, and honor them
Until God calls you home.
