It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:
1) Post your first piece.
2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.
3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.
4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

TRUST JESUS TODAY
A local writing group I belong to has decided to produce a magazine for Christmas. This is one of the articles I plan to submit. It follows on from one titled HIStory & Christmas. His Story - HIStory.
HIStory and SCIENCE.
Parties and more parties! It’s Christmastide! Not only that it’s holiday time. People all round the world are celebrating. Centuries ago the first Christmas celebrations were held as a reminder of the birth of Christ. The Creator of the Universe, Christ Jesus, was born in human flesh to put right that which had been marred – a living relationship between God and man. Many people however believe that science has proved the Bible wrong.
Many scientists say that most scientific evidence points to God’s account of creation. They believe that Jesus is who he says he is? Other scientists however believe that science has proved the Bible wrong. If this is the case then Jesus was either a mad man or a liar. Now this would also mean that the relationship between God and man at the time of creation was not broken. As a mature age student at university my biology textbook ruled out the Biblical creation on the grounds that it could not be proved (tested) by observed, repeated science in the present. Yes, that statement is true but then the textbook claimed that science’s version of the beginnings, that is The Big Bang (and other aspects of non-empirical science), to be fact even though you cannot prove it by observed, repeated science in the present. What does all this mean?
If I asked you to prove to me that gravity exists what would you do (repeatedly in the present) to show me that gravity is fact? Throw a ball into the air perhaps? The ball will fall back to earth every time would it not? Of cause if you have rocket power to lift it beyond earth’s gravitational pull then the ball would go on into space. Gravity is fact.
Scientists seek to “prove” the past by what they call dating methods. With biased reasoning they propose a scenario of what might have happened in the past. Then using repeated, observed dating methods of science (in the present) they come up with the answer that best suits their story or their preconceived ideas. In other words the results never give the same answer. Dating methods also start by assuming something.
Here is one example. Basalts from Hualalai in Hawaii, observed to have erupted in 1800-01, gave potassium-argon (K-Ar) ages ranging from 160 million years to 3,300 million years. Ooops! All those millions of years down the drain.
What about evidence that points to God’s eyewitness account of beginnings? There is very, very much to support it. Here’s one that I like. Science has discovered what is call mitochondrial DNA to be a link in all people back to one woman. That is what you would expect to find from the Bible’s account of creation. Also science claims to be able to trace all people back to one father through what is called the “Y” chromosome. Again this is what you would expect to find not just from the creation account but also from the Apostle Paul’s teaching according to Dr. Luke.
A large proportion of science is philosophy and comes from the minds of fallible men. As a Christian I chose to renounce the world, the flesh and the archenemy of God. Since philosophies come from the minds of men they are therefore “worldly” thinking. Whose authority should I trust? Should I trust an all knowing God who never changes or mere men who don’t know everything and who are always changing their minds? You be the judge.
Perhaps you would like to know more, like where did Cain get his wife? I’d be happy to talk to you. You can contact me on 4390 9401 or contact the editors of this magazine.
