TRUST JESUS TODAY
The blessedness of having Jesus by our side and the choices we have about it.
This Blessedness 9/1/08
You give and take as You see fit,
You call and call and never quit.
Even until that last minute,
You ask us to see Your will in it.
For all the days of our willful lives,
You are the One who always strives
To help us catch a glimpse of You,
That will make our heart become true.
You come in the early morning hour,
The rest of the day to devour,
If we will bend a listening ear,
Your Holy voice, so quiet, to hear.
You come as the early sun rises,
To bring all the day's surprises,
And we can choose to look with glee,
Or close our eyes and never see.
You never make us do a thing,
You leave us to cry or to sing.
The choice is always ours to do,
But fulfillment comes from loving You.
Why do some choose to live in pain,
While others dance with You in the rain?
You've offered the same to one and all,
But so many ignore the call.
For those who choose to go with You,
The path is not always so smooth,
But we always have Jesus by our side,
And this blessedness cannot be denied.
