TITLE: I'll be back again

This poem is based on Romans 2:1-5 in particular v4 "Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that Godís kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?" It is about how the choices we make to sin and therefore turn away from God which seem so little at the time can have a greater impact because they lead to more choices to do the same and it is about repentance, that God's grace and His faithfulness is meant to lead us to repentance. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

To whom it may concern,
I regret I must inform you,
That Iíll be absent from the way today.

Iíve chosen another path,
Turned around the corner,
But donít worry,
Iíll be back again.

Iíll just play with sin awhile,
And then Iíll turn around,
Iíll come back and Heíll be waiting,
You see,
Heís faithful, Love and kind.

Itís really not important,
I just want to run away,
Iím running from His truth,
But donít worry,
Iíll be back again.

The other path seems so easy,
Iím just sick of trusting,
and perseverance,
I just want a break.

Iíll just take today off,
And Iíll go another way,
But Iíll come back tomorrow,
So donít worry,
Iíll be back again.

Just for today,
I wonít read his Word,
Iíll listen to the World instead,
And let them direct my way.

Then maybe Iíll come back tomorrow,
Or in a few days for sure,
Iíll come back and Heíll be waiting,
So donít worry,
Iíll be back again.

You see I never listened,
To what He said within His Word,
That His mercy leads us to repentance,
So Iíll turn away,
But Iíll be back for sure.

Iíll follow my own path for a while,
Then admit my mistake,
He is always kind right,
So donít worry,
Iíll be back again.

I mean this pathís not always easy,
I just want a break,
Heís seen what Iím going through,
Heíll understand for sure.

Iíll just go a little way,
Only for a while,
Just until things seem easy,
So donít worry,
Then Iíll be back again.

You see Iíve forgotten what He said,
That He is always with us,
That He is faithful unto the end,
We just need to trust.

So Iíve turned to my own judgements,
Iíll come back in a week or two,
Iím just going on a holiday,
So donít worry,
Iíll come back again.

Where am I now,
I feel so far away,
Iíve forgotten everything He taught me,
For I chose another way.

Iím not on the right path now,
And Iím not sure how to get there,
The road that leads unto repentance,
But donít worry,
Iíll come back one day.

So Iíve turned away it seems,
Seemed such a small decision at the time,
One choice followed by another,
And now Iím far from that straight and narrow line.

I forgot His words of caution,
That He is faithful yes but just,
That His mercy leads unto repentance,
But Iím not worried,
Iíll come back one day.

And so,
To whom it may concern,
I regret I must inform you,
Iíll be absent from the way today.

Iíve turned around the corner,
Chose another way,
But Iíll come back tomorrow,
So donít worry,
Itís only for today,
Iíll be back again.
