1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

It was on a warm summer night
When we were all gathered under the lamp light
Different races, coming from different faiths
Talking about our experiences and lives.

One of them, a lady friend
Was a believer in Christ.
She was sitting there at the center
Presenting what Christ was doing in her life.

I was not yet a believer, so with all the others
But that night, God worked a miracle
When this friend was talking about salvation
Something touched my heart and made me wonder.

For so many years, seven to be exact,
Since I first heard the gospel from her,
I have denied the need
For Christ to be my Savior.

And yet that night
When people were discussing about this
I was just sitting, listening
Not knowing that God was working in my heart, quietly.

The last straw was
When one man made a joke
That he did not need to be ‘salvaged’
That I saw how hopeless life was without Christ.

So after we all dispersed, I talked to this friend
And told her that I wanted to
Pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart.
Could she lead me to pray?

I am so thankful to God for that night
Am sure many were, too,
Especially those who have been praying for me.
I rejoice that the Lord found me.
