For me Christ bore my pardon;
He paid eternity’s toll;
He took upon my burdens;
He died to save my soul.

To the cross the Spotless lamb,
Carried all my shame;
The final sacrifice was He;
Holy is His Name.

As He cried out, "It is done.",
He took His predicted fate;
As the sky grew dark as night,
A new covenant was made.

At the cross Christ paid it all;
He took on all my shame;
My sins can now be forgiven;
I called on His name!

The wonders of Jesus’ death,
Remain forever a mystery;
Yet the best was still to come,
The end was not Calvary.

On the cross Christ gave His life,
He forgave all my shame;
Three days later He rose again;
Victory is His Name!

Christ now can reign inside of
Those who believe He came;
He promised to never leave;
Faithful is His Name!

Calvary was not the end;
I have no more shame;
He reigns forever inside of me;
Awesome is His Name!
