It came over me all sudden like:
I was out – out on a hike,
And the wind blew me hat away.
(My! What a day!)
I chased it up – and down – the lane.
While I ran up, down came the rain,
I slipped and my hat went bowling by
- Nothing was dry.
I slid, and bumped into a bike –
That was when it hit me, like:
That walking was never my fav’rite play,
- Not any day!
Back in the office I told my pals
They could have it – and their gals;
I’d stay at home, or go to the sea,
Not hike. Not me.
