TRUST JESUS TODAY
A personal poem - and a sharing of a universal experience of God.
Prepared for contemplative prayer
With prayer book and mat: crossing my legs,
I lit a crocus purple candle
And began a gentle loving of Lord God.
Brightness surrounds and enters my body
A palpable presence of God well pleased.
And I learn love all the stronger;
Absorbed, saturated in vibrating colour.
Glimpse in this heart-making moment.
The fire and passion of God
This answer to my prayer, for authentic self
Loving me into my God given nature.
I can now see that,after all, a cardinal nature -
Weakened by the worries of the world -
Can hope to grow, to warrior mindfulness
In Living the love and the passion of God.
