TRUST JESUS TODAY
We see Jesus' suffering on the cross
As the entire Christian world grieves.
Do we see beyond to the Father's loss,
As his only son hung between thieves?
The cross is God's provision for sin
His eternal plan for us from the start,
The love that will bring us back to him
Love that comes from a father's heart.
Because of our sin Christ was lifted up
God's love not just in words but action,
Think of this when you take of his cup
Think of his love, mercy and compassion
Next time you say, "no one loves me
Think of the cross and resurrection,
God gave his only Son to set us all free
To our lives purpose and direction.
