Our jumbo jet moved down the runway, preparing for lift-off to Chicago. It taxied and taxied and taxied.
Finally, an 8 year old passenger innocently asked her mother, “Are we going to drive all the
way to Chicago?”
She only echoed what every adult on board felt but didn't verbalize, trading tension for smiles.
