TRUST JESUS TODAY
"Feelings" many times get us mired down into the pit of despair, but when we turn to the faith tiny as a mustard seed and look upward to Jesus for only a second He pulls us back to our heart for Him.
Give Faith a Thrust 4/12/08
I feel as if I'm sinking right now.
My God, where are You? I need You!
I've lost my way, gone down somehow,
And I feel like I don't have a clue.
But I know that feelings aren't what I need,
It's the faith to come back to You.
Feelings are the things on which despair feed,
It's Jesus and His hope that will pull through.
I need to remember that when things get rough,
To look upward to Jesus , so true,
To grasp on to the mercy and love
Of the promise I have found in You.
I need to get out of my head to my heart,
Quit feelings and get back to the trust
That I know lies down in the deepest part
And gives my faith a big hearty thrust.
There, see how quickly You clear up my head?
All I must do is go to the Lord
When I'm foggy and gotten misled
For a reminder from Him and His Word.
That faith, as tiny as a mustard seed,
With God's watering can from above,
Will flourish and grow and finally lead
Back to God's hand and Almighty love.
