It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:

1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

TITLE: Wild Rollercoaster of Life

I donít know about you but I totally love rollercoasters! Even when they scare me to death or make me a little sick. I havenít gone on any new ones for awhile (hope I can soon) but I did read a great book about them by Robert Coker that was totally awesome. Anyway, you know how sometimes a person will use it as an analogy to something negative like bad experiences? I donít really like that. (Going down is just as fun as anything else!) However, thatís kind of what Iím saying here. This song is about how life can be like a wild rollercoaster but God is there for us. If it was a real song I would like it to be an emotional rock song with music that would go up and down like a coaster. Please tell me what you think! Thanks. (I donít know how this first draft sounds without rhymes, and I donít really know how the music would sound. What do you think?)
1 The bars come down and you sit in your seat, waiting for the ride to begin
You donít know if you really want to go through it now
But itís too late to turn back and the ride lurches ahead
And now youíre rolling forwards whether you like it or not

2 Maybe the ride starts slowly, clanking to the top of a hill
Or maybe it launches off like a rocket and throws you back in your seat
You hold on tight and know itís just a matter of time until you reach the top
And youíll be in a huge freefall

(Chorus) Rollercoaster! What a wild ride this life is!
Soaring up... rushing down... zooming around and around
Aaaaaaaah! Feels like thereís no control of where youíre going
But just hang on and youíll be fine, I promise the harness will hold you in

3 Now youíre flying down the hill, and life is gettingí tough
The g-force of emotions strike you and tears begin to come
You raise your hands and ask for help and hope it will soon end
How much longer can you take it? When will this change?

4 Back up you go to the top of a hill, you cheer at the top of your lungs
You can see the bright sun and a clear blue sky, things are looking up
Spirits soar as you enter the door of wonderful peace and joy
Praise the Lord youíre going somewhere now!

(Chorus) Rollercoaster! What a wild ride this life is!
Soaring up... rushing down... zooming around and around
Aaaaaaaah! Feels like thereís no control of where youíre going
But just hang on and youíll be fine, I promise the structure will hold you up

5 As you twist and turn around you begin to wonder how safe this really is
But for those who are believers they have nothing to worry about
The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are the three sets of wheels that keep us on the tracks
So keep looking forward, life up your hands, and donít ever look back

6 Yeah, itís a wild thrill ride that we canít control but remember who built this thing
We donít need get sick to our stomachs by worrying about whatís coming next
Just enjoy the ride, enjoy the view, and shout at the top of your lungs
Itís gonna be over before you know it, so letís make this all itís worth!

(Chorus) Rollercoaster! What a wild ride this life is!
Soaring up... rushing down... zooming around and around
Aaaaaaaah! Feels like thereís no control of where youíre going
But just hang on and youíll be fine, I promise youíll make it safely to the end

Weíre all in this together. Itís under Godís control. He will take us safely... to the end. *electric guitar screech like a coaster stopping*
