I was weak from a time when life was all wrong
Jesus came in with His love and made me strong
I was buried in a life of much pain and strife
For five years I lived as a battered torn wife
In my darkest of moments I would cry out to him
Still each day the light of hope grew so very dim
The waters of my life were so turbulent back then
Longing for freedom I asked God to show me when
Was I destined to emotionally suffer forever in fear?
Would I ever feel that my purpose for life was clear?
So much I did not know, so much I couldn't let go
During this sad time the tears would freely flow
In the whisper of the wind my sad song blew
I did not know how to stop it but He knew
In that wilderness there was emotional pain
While there, Jesus sheltered me from the rain
Broken in my spirit, He took hold of my hand
It was there that Jesus helped me to stand
Together, Jesus and I walked out of that place
Today, when I fall I just keep seeking His face
Now free from those emotionally painful past days
I walk beside Jesus living in life's next phase
This has been my journey of healing under the sun
Where Jesus my Prince of Peace is the healing one
Jesus lovingly covered me tenderly under His wing
He put into my heart a new song to joyfully sing
This is the song of my precious savior's undying love
His love descended upon me, pure as a white dove
