You’re with Me
By Ricky Flowers
In the wind, I hear your whisper
Words soothing and so kind
Gently pushing me forward
So I won’t be left behind
In the sand, I see your footprints
Not in front and not in back
But walking right beside me
So I won’t begin to slack
In nature, I see your handiwork
Immeasurable in its beauty
Reminding me how awesome you are
And that to you, I have a duty
In space, I see your infiniteness
And to know you did it all
Makes me know that you are there
If I will only hear your call
In the ocean’s, I see your power
It’s that power that moves me on
To face an uncertain future
Where this could all be gone
In all these things, I realize
The same God created me
Beautiful in his sight
Just like the Willow Tree
In the wind, I hear your whisper
And a tear comes to my eye
I know now that you’re with me
Until the day I die
