Lamentations 3:23 tells us His mercies are "new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness." That is the verse I think of each morning as I come to Him in prayer and meditation, thinking of His early morning dew on the ground outside.
On the Morning Dew 1/27/08
Thank You for helping me remember, this morning,
Because it is setting my soul soaring!
You are bringing me up, out of the valley so low,
Up to where, once again, I know
Your love and mercy await me fresh and new,
Outside, on the morning dew.
Oh, how easily I forget Your Care,
When I find myself, I know not where.
But once, when after a good night’s sleep,
I come again to Your arms so deep,
You wake me up and tickle my brain,
And bring me home, so sweet, again.
How dear Your Words have come to me,
When I have forgotten how to see.
I open my eyes to find You there,
And once again life is so fair!
