It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:

1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

TITLE: Diamond Man

Diamond Man was going to be its own separate album, but I'm not sure if there's enough material. I might just fuse it with "When A Brave Man Stands." I haven't decided yet. Anyhow, this would be the title track if an album called "Diamond Man" were to stand on its own.

It's very personal to me, and it was extremely hard to write, despite how rediculously easy it was to conceptualize. I think Christian men get treated as less in today's world, by women who aren't Christian, or are and have lost their footing at times. This is my answer to that social problem. I see it as a voice which had to be expressed. A need I had to fill.
It first began in the eighth grade
When Jenna asked what I would say
If she went down into my pants.
I was so shocked. My eyebrows danced.

I said that I’d probably freak
And then she laughed. She laughed at me.
But I said “Look… I tell the truth.”
And I said “I don’t even know you.”

The pressure comes… and then it goes.
And how I’ll act I always know.
I just can’t bring myself too close
To anyone that I don’t know.

It RIPS ME UP! I hurt inside
When I can look into your eyes
And you tell me I’m just a boy
And that I think your body’s a toy!

The pressure comes! The pressure goes!
And you don’t know me! You just don’t know!
And my heart BURNS looking at you!
This twisted STRANGER I THOUGH I KNEW!

And the inSULT! IT BURNS MY EYES!
You act as if I DON’T HAVE A MIND!
And if I DO, then it’s been CRACKED!
Just like the rest! But they can’t change the fact that…

You look at me and you see
A view of men from ten thousand feet!
I look at you and I wonder who
You think I am to be judged by…
You look at me and you see
A view of men from ten thousand feet!
Try if you can just to stay my hand!
One day you’ll understand that I’m a Diamond Man!

And then I can’t argue with you
Because I’ve done things I should never do.
I’ve lost some friends I wish I’d kept.
And I’ve repented! Oh how I’ve wept!

But that was then. And this is now.
And those mistakes I will not allow
To come again and pressure me.
My mind is restored, but you don’t see…

That this is LOVE I offer you.
And you don’t trust anything I do!
‘Cause you’ve been broken in the past!
And I threaten your house of glass!

‘Cuz I’m a BULL wearing no shame!
I’m foreign to you! Those goats that came
Before me… they wore their grins
Those life-like MASKS THEY WERE HIDING IN!

I know I SCARE! I know not why!
Is it the look of PASSION IN MY EYES?
Come yank my EARS! Come feel for seams!
It’s not a MASK, I’M A MAN OF DREAMS!

The one you prayed for, but you’ll NEVER KNOW!
You’re drawn to grins, and I’m a MAN OF STONE!
Stone in my stare. I am not confused!
I know what I want! And I guess it’s not…

If you ever wise up… and stop looking for grins.
Then I will open up… and show you what’s within.
But you must realize that all the rules you’ve learned
In your life so far will only leave you burned.

‘Cause you’ve loved the dark, and you think it’s light.
And you know the shadows upon first sight.
And you think those shadows that cover your eyes
Cover every man, and that’s why you despise.

But I am of the light, because I am of God.
And I see your plight. I’d like to break the façade.
But that’s not within my power to do.
You need to look to Him. I know you’re not because…
