Nuggets of my thoughts on humor and laughter. A brief bit about how I feel they make a difference in our lives and world.
Living life with doses of humor and laughter does make a difference in our lives. Laughter disperses such positive energy it can fill a quiet and lowly room with joy. Splashes of joy that can come from laughter is good for our soul and can generate within a merry heart. I find the best thing when I am feeling down is a good belly laugh. Not just a surface laugh but deep down hearty laughter!
The humorous side of issues lightens up our burdens of the day making any circumstance feel less heavy in our hearts. I have many struggles in my life, without humor in some of those moments I don't know what would happen. I do know there is nothing more contagious than a dose of laughter due to humorous moments.
I also feel that without humor and laughter this world would be an awful place to live, things cannot be serious all the time or we would never feel joy. If all of us walked around constantly with serious faces and never laughed at a good joke, what would happen to our world in which we live? It would most likely resemble a place that was flat holding within it no joy.
Humor makes a difference in my opinion on many levels, I feel it needs to be almost as much a part of life as being serious. Life cannot always be serious and it is too short to sweat the small stuff in it. Live life to its fullest and embrace humor and laughter as good medicine. Give yourself a few doses of humor each day and feel uplifted in your spirit. You will even look better too laughter, gives us a happy face!
"A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit." Proverbs 15:13 (NIV)
