It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:

1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

This, my first attempt at poetry, has been given some very encouraging reviews in "the Writers Challenge". I have made some attempt to rectify the flow and the rhyming pattern.
My challenge seems to be to maintain the imagery while adjusting the mechanics.I would appreciate any suggestions.
THE CHURCH
As a Bride Adorned

She approaches now in glory
Her King upon His throne
Bedecked with Jewels and honour
Provided by her King.
Her heart pulsates within her
Desires Him for her own
And at this very moment
Her Heart can only sing.

Through years of toil and struggle
And many a bitter day
She’s given everything she had
And more that she’d obtained,
To make herself more worthy
For this her wedding day.
Yet now turmoil within her
Could undo all she’s gained.

This is the day she’s longed for
As year by year passed by
The day of her betrothal
To Christ the King of Kings.
No light of sun is needed
To turn the seeking eye
For her beloved lightens all
That anybody brings.

And now this church triumphant
Touches the Saviour’s rod
(She is His one desire
Purchased on the cross)
Proving her acceptance
By Christ the Son of God.
Knowing that forever
She will not suffer loss.

While all around in witness
They stand to Cheer her on
Patriarchs, saints and prophets
All their witness give
Declaring her great beauty
And how her light has shone
Drawing all who went before
To this great City to live.
