HELP TOUR

It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:

1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

PUT GOD FIRST

First Methodist Church
Murfressboro, Tennessee
6 March 1921

My Dear Friend Anne,

Will you please let me say that you are now a part of my life’s work since you have decided to join the church and PUT GOD FIRST in your life. I want to congratulate you on the noble step you have taken. If there be any virtue in my prayers you shall have them. Let me insist that you become active in the church of your choice at the very earliest opportunity, and try to encourage others too. I am grateful that you have decided to renew your vows. If you should ever transfer your membership to some church in Murfreesboro I am delighted, for if there was ever a time when God’s people ought to line up for the church in the community where they live it is now.

Let me urge you to stick close to your church; talk often with your pastor, let him advise you as to some special work in the church; read your Bible, take your church paper, read good, wholesome books, attend your Sunday-school and prayer meeting and take an active interest in all church affairs. Remember, there are three of us on trial…Jesus Christ, yourself, and the man whose hand you clasped.

I thank God for the gracious meeting, and for the uplifting influence and the mighty pull it has had on all who have come under its influence.

May God bless you physically and financially, but above all may He bless you spiritually.

Yours for a better and happier life,

Your pastor
