TRUST JESUS TODAY
This poem I wrote about spiritual warfare. We do not fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers not of this world. The cool thing is, the battle is already won. Jesus had conquered death and took the keys of hell. Praise God!!
To everything that comes,
Against the knowledge of God,
We will cast it down,
Taking captive every thought.
The fight we fight is not,
Against this flesh and blood,
But against dark powers that,
Would thwart us if they could.
We’re pulling down strongholds,
Putting on the armor of God,
With our shield of faith and sword of truth,
We have already won.
With our helmet of salvation,
And breastplate of righteousness,
Prepared with the gospel of peace,
We’ll conquer satan and the rest.
Our God is so mighty,
And with Him we will fight,
We will bring the world,
Into His glorious light.
We will conquer satan,
In Jesus’ holy name,
We’ll stand upon the word,
For it will always be the same.
We’ll stand against temptation,
Standing on God’s promises,
We’ll rebuke and bind the devil,
No matter what he says.
When facing trials and storms,
I recall what God said to me,
“If you resist the devil,
Then from you he will flee.”
