My heart is a bit more into writing song lyrics so I've been trying to see which of my poems would be suitable as songs. What do you think of this one?

Target audience: Those on the verge of giving their life to Christ.
I know you hear Jesus knocking today.
I can tell by that look on your face.
Now you have an important choice to make.
No one can make this choice for you;
only you can decide.
You know youíre the only one
who can make up your mind.
I know youíre contemplating
the pros and cons.
May I give some advice
to help your choice along?

It wasnít long ago
I stood exactly where you are.
It wasnít long ago
I first heard Jesus knocking
On the door of my heart.

Now, I admit, when I first heard Him knock
I shut the door tight and I kept it locked.
I bound my heart in heavy chains.
I made my Lord stand in the rain.
For this I now feel so ashamedÖ
But, as you can see,
Jesus didnít give up on me!
He didnít turn away like so many others would.
He stayed, and at the door of my heart
He patiently stood.

Heís at your heartís door today
and for your choice
He patiently waits.
Donít hold out the way I did.
Please donít turn away from
this chance to truly live!
Thereís nothing to be afraid of, my friend.
Letting Christ in is life's begining
and deathís final end.

It wasnít long ago
I stood exactly where you are.
It wasnít long ago
I first heard Jesus knocking
On the door of my heart.

Itís true, living life for Christ
is a big change.
But I can assure you,
itís the best change that could ever be made.
Itís true, when you let Him in
your struggles wonít magically fade,
but in your times of weakness
Jesus will give you strength.
Although lifeís troubles wonít disappear,
youíll find in times when you used to be afraid
youíll feel His peace instead of your fear.

I know you hear Him knocking today,
why not open your heart and let Him in?
There are no losers with Jesus.
When you listen to Him
every situation becomes a win/win.
Jesus died on the cross
to take away your sins.
He freely gives His gift of forgiveness,
all you have to do is accept it from Him.

It wasnít long ago
I stood exactly where you are.
It wasnít long ago
I first heard Jesus knocking
On the door of my heart.

Now you hear Him knocking at the door.
Do you even know what youíre waiting for?
Donít be afraid to let Him in.
Heís here to save your life
and take away your sins.
Open your heart
and let Jesus come in.
I promise youíll be so glad you did.
