All critiques welcome.
Where does the time in our lives go?
Why are we always in such a rush?
What's really so important?
Why do we make such a fuss?
Whatever happened to simply enjoying life?
Does everything we put our time into bring us joy, or is it nothing but strife?
Whatever happened to just being still?
We should ask ourselves the question:
Is everything I do really in God's will?
The world is busier than it's ever been,
is everything we put our time into really what matters in the end?
It's time we slow down and take a look around at the beauty God wants us to see.
It's time we slow down and just breathe.

Our days are so filled with commotion and noise.
I often wonder: How many times in our lives do we miss the Lord's still small voice? In our busy lives we often fail to spend time with God if we forget to schedule Him in. We need to ask ourselves the question: Is it fair to put anything before the One who died for our sins?

It's time we slow down and ask ourselves where our time should really be spent. With all the things we do in life, are our true needs being met? We give so much time to this world which will just disappear in the end. Is it really worth all the time we spend?

It seems like the minute we get out of bed we strap on our running shoes. We rush here and there without a second to lose! Our day's packed full so there's no time to waste! We're exhausting ourselves just trying to keep our hectic pace!

It's time to slow down and take off the running shoes. So tomorrow when you wake up try something new. Slide your feet into some slippers and walk past your running shoes. Take some time to stand in silence and open up your ears. You just might be surprised by what you hear. In the quiet moment of your day, you might hear God say,

"My child, I've missed you so much! I've been trying to get your attention just to show you My love! I want to be so much more than just a distant God somewhere far away. I want to spend time with you and talk with you each and every day! The minute you get up you put on your running shoes! You rush here and there like you don't have a second to lose! Your days are all packed full, there's no time to waste! You're exhausting yourself trying to keep up the pace! Don't you know that this life as you know it will some day come to an end? When you come home I want you to come to Me as more than just your God, I want you to come as My friend. So please, put away your running shoes. I promise, you won't miss much. Slow yourself down and take some time to feel My loving touch."
