TITLE: I Run the Race

To all sons and daughters, be encouraged to walk out this life with patience and courage.
1 Corinthians 9:24 and Philippians 3:14
I run this race with patience.
The word of GOD helps me endure.
Holy Spirit calls me higher.
Blood of Christ cleanses
me and makes me pure.

I started running a long time ago.
I had no focus,no direction
on which way to go.

Because of my lack of direction,
My breaths became weak, my strides short
My faith began to dissipate
Then I heard a voice form
Heaven say,“Run this course
I designed for you
It’s not too late.”

Sometimes heckling and boos from the
spectators distracted me.
They would shout out
discouraging remarks
telling me I can't take it.
My spirit revived within me
as I see the Father’s Holy
angles cheering me on chanting
“Go on you can make
it.”

So I steadied my focus.
Ran towards the light.
Hurtling over the enemy’s traps,
The Crown of Glory in my sight.

Once I see the Savior's arms welcome
me I know I ran my course the way
it was meant to be.

Endure hardness as a good
Soldier and remember the prize is
Not given to the swift nor the strong
Check the soles of your running shoes
and keep moving forward. Keep moving
On.
