TITLE: Wait! By carolyn may 09/05/07 |

There are some times, that I don't know
Just what I am to do;
And I find it very hard to
Be still and wait on You.
All those times I've run on ahead
Things seemed to turn out wrong;
So help me learn to wait on You and
To stay where I belong.
I've always found it difficult
To simply sit and wait;
I guess I'm so impatient that
I feel I'm running late.
Things always do go better when
I rest and wait on You,
And when at last You choose to speak
I know Your words are true.
Waiting seems to be so boring
I want to break and run;
I feel like I'm just wasting time,
And missing all the fun.
In my heart I know I need to
Stop and smell the roses,
And give You time to part the waters,
Just as You did for Moses.
From now on I'm going to try
To leave things in Your hands;
To wait, pray, let You work and to
Ignore the world's demands.
But if I start to run ahead
Then, please, just holler. "Wait!"
I will stop right where I am and
I'll never hesitate.
In fact, when I think about it
Wondering what You'll do;
I believe it might be nice to
Be still and wait on You.
