TITLE: Is it easier to forget, forgive or neither?

This area looks at forgiveness.

What are your thoughts on the matter?
Allow me to ask you a few questions? Have you ever been emotionally, financially, physically or sexually hurt by someone in the past?. Has someone destroyed your confidence or trust in things you find it hard to move on with your life? What are your feeling therefore towards these people?

One pastor asked his congregation “How many of you are willing to forgive your enemies? Everybody was except one old mature gentleman. “Why won’t you forgive your enemies? The pastor asked him. He replied “because I have none”. Can you say that today?

He is totally at peace to those who have hurt him in the past, present and for those who will hurt him in the future. When something affects us personally is it easier to try and forget what’s happening instead of forgiving that person in order to move on or neither. I have many stories I could share and I am sure have but are you able to totally forgive that person for whatever they have done.

When we’ve been hurt it’s easy to react in the flesh rather than the spirit. The bible says “Forgive anyone who does you wrong just as Christ has forgiven you”. Some situations though are very hard to forgive such as murder and often we want to seek revenge.

Accept an apology if it is given or received. I encourage you to allow God to soften your heard towards these people. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Don’t drop down to their level but try and rise above them if you can, I know its not easy.

We cannot get forgiveness from God without forgiving others in the process. Forgiveness does not let the other person off the hook it lots you off and allows you to enjoy life again without any hard feelings or bitterness. Do you want to get better or keep bitter!!!

If you live right before God that really is the main thing and cannot go wrong, if others do not they will have to give an account of their lives before God one day soon.

I believe if you understand, deal and live for forgiveness you will be a bigger and better person inside. I pray that if this is something you need to do or there are people on your mind God will be with you every step along the way until the issue is dealt with for good. Walk in peace as you go on with life’s journey today friends and remember if you don’t forget or forgive the issue will be there until you do. God Bless You today.
