It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:

1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

TITLE: The Art Of Encouragement

A mentor of mine named Orrin Woodward grabbed this theory out of a book he once read, and I ran with the idea and wrote it into a song... He says that there is an "art" and a "science" to teaching the right principles. He also likened this theory to a concept in the Bible that differentiates between "grace" and "law." The Ten commandments would be like the "law" or the "Science" behind being a good Christian. But when Jesus came, we can see from the New Testament that He taught His folloewrs to lead with "grace" instead. With "art" rather than "science." Hence The "Art" Of Encouragement.
When I’m up, I’m gold, ‘cause it’s so rare.
And when I’m down, I just seem to stay there…
Encouragement from My Best Friend
Is the only thing that PICKS ME UP AGAIN!

When the chemicals combine
Coursing down my spine
Killing every fear inside
That I thought was mine!
(And then)
When the chemicals in chains
They collide and re-arrange
They shoot back up to my brain
And then I’m gold again!

THE ART OF ENCOURAGEMENT!
LOVE! ENCOURAGE, MEN!
LOVE ENCOURAGEMENT!
LOVE ENCOURAGED MEN!

The gravity of society
Is a widely-accepted “reality.”
But “realism” is just a flat earth to me!
Encouragement is all a good man needs!

To share the gifts that his God gave him
And to change the world that we’re livin’ in.
Without His power to change, we would cease to be.
We’re here to exchange His creativity!

We do have the power to change this life!
We do have the knowledge to do what’s right!
All we need now is the courage to unite
And the commitment to endure the fight!

This is a Godless world we have on our hands!
We’ve got to change the system, but understand…
Before we can expect to go out and teach,
We have to better the lives of everyone we reach.

‘Cause I know that every failed attempt
Was led with poorly-veiled intent.
Before I came to believe in Christ
A good friend helped me in WAYS I CAN’T DESCRIBE!

When the chemicals combine
Coursing down my spine
Killing every fear inside
That I thought was mine!
(And then)
When the chemicals in chains
They collide and re-arrange
They shoot back up to my brain
And then I’m gold again!

THE ART OF ENCOURAGEMENT!
LOVE! ENCOURAGE, MEN!
LOVE ENCOURAGEMENT!
LOVE ENCOURAGED MEN!

A man convinced against his own will
Will be of the same old opinion still.
Are we interested in helping a nation
Or are we just concerned with the assimilation?

Why would anyone listen to our Lord
If a loving heart’s something we can’t afford
To sit down and take time to really give?
Shouldn’t we have some to spare? Aren’t we children of Him?

The problem is not in the Word I share!
Look inside my heart! See the problem there?
Nobody really cares how much I know, I swear
Until they’re really sure that I REALLY care!

Let us have the courage to walk our talk
Before we try to encourage others to walk
On a path we might not be familiar with!
And if we know it well, might-as-well share the gift!

'Cuz whether I’d ever get saved or not
Was an answer that I rarely sought.
I once thought I might never see
But I still deserved His GRACE, DON’T YOU AGREE?

And when the chemicals combined
Coursing down my spine
Killing every fear inside
That I thought was mine!
(It began)
So when the chemicals in chains
They collide and re-arrange
Shoot back up to my brain
And now I’m gold again!

THE ART OF ENCOURAGEMENT!
LOVE! ENCOURAGE, MEN!
LOVE ENCOURAGEMENT!
LOVE ENCOURAGED MEN!
