It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:

1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

This here's another song I wrote. It's not metal, though. Not until the very end at least! It's more alternative with a kickin' finish. This is the first song that anyone here has seen from my 2007 album entitled "When A Brave Man Stands." THis album isn't even finished yet, so here it is! A free sample comin' fresh out the oven! Enjoy!
The beaten path is the easiest road.
It's the longest way around this mountain, though.
What will we find on the other side?
Nobody's seen it with their own eyes.

But we've heard from climbers who have reached the top
And surveyed lands so grand that they'd make your jaw drop.
Some say there's nothing special on the other side
Of this hulking mountain they have never tried.

Because the beaten man... follows the beaten path.
He never escapes mediocrity's wrath!
And although I have tried... I simply can't
Seem to find any value in the beaten man!

I do not know which theory is right
But I know which one I want to believe.
I'm sure the summit holds an empowering sight
And once I have been there, I will no doubt see.

I shall go, I shall see, I shall conquer!
I will reach the summit, if only for pride!
I cannot see the point in taking any longer
Following the beaten path around this mountain side!

Because the beaten man... follows the beaten path.
He never escapes mediocrity's wrath!
And although I have tried... I simply can't
Seem to find any value in the beaten man!

On this mountain, there are a few campers
They got halfway up, and hid away from the storm.
But also on this mountain are the climbers
We keep a rugged pace to keep our bodies warm.

I do slip and fall sometimes and find myself in a bleeding mess.
Battered and bruised, I ask myself, Is this all that Ive got left?
But in my heart, I always find more dreams than I have regrets.
And that is WHEN I KNOW THAT I'M NOT BEATEN YET!

Because the beaten man... follows the beaten path.
He never escapes mediocrity's wrath!
And although I have tried... I simply can't
Seem to find any value in the beaten man!

I said the BEATEN MAN... follows the BEATEN PATH!
He never escapes MEDIOCRITY'S WRATH!
And although I HAVE TRIED... I SIMPLY CAN'T
Seem to find ANY VALUE in the BEATEN MAN!
