OUR PLACE REVOLUTION
Samuel Connelly
Everything is backwards where it was once only slightly faded. Hearts that were beginning to wander, somewhat foolish; have become jaded
The message that brought conviction; Cutting away sin, like a knife; Has been water down, broken down, And squeezed dry of its life
I want to see the power alive again; the kind grandma told me about. I want to feel the surge of devotion, and understand the meaning of ‘sold out’
I want to believe that this life is truly worth living and dying to defend. I want to know that there’s still enough power in His Name to
make demons bend.
I want to see again, to be free again; walk with the faith that they had back then. To love like Him who first loved me, all the way to the cross, and to death at Calvary.
I want to believe that His followers are living for more than just personal gain. Because I’m hearing from sinners around me that Christians are all going completely insane.
I hear that Christ’s amazing love is growing cold; and His Church is becoming a social masquerade. They say that Christians are no longer bold; only giving charity because they’re paid
We need a revolution, a renaissance, a rebirth that will help us to rediscover Christ Jesus.
As pilgrims on a mission to the Promised Land urgently seeking again, the Blood that freed us
Where will it begin, it’s an answer I can’t see.
We’re in love with our sin; don’t want to be free
I suppose if this revolution is going to ever start, it will be because Christians, like me and you, who decide to put down the pen, and take up His heart.
