TRUST JESUS TODAY
Rescue me from my onlyness.
I won’t survive this loneliness.
I yearn a family—a home—
An existence that is my own.
Don’t desert me out in the cold,
Waiting for fortune to unfold.
Shelter me with your sincere love.
Prove to me that God is above.
Find room in your heart to claim me.
From worthlessness, set my mind free.
Beam light into my soul’s darkness.
Release hope into this starkness.
Commit to this rewarding task.
Share yourself with me is what I ask.
I, too, shall return the favor.
Life—let us together savor.
Neglect not my plea—take action.
It will grant you satisfaction.
Know the feeling of saving one
From damage hard to be undone.
Adopt me—a motherless child.
Prevent our race’s wrong revile.
Show the world that we care for us.
Give them new topics to discuss.
Destroy the old stereotypes
And silence the ignorant hype.
Demonstrate the impact we make,
When duty, we willfully take.
Redeem a foster kid today.
Offer me life—a better way.
You decide where my feet will land.
My future remains in your hands.
