I believe that there are valleys
Where milk and honey flow
I believe that there are mountains
Where only God can go
I believe that there are oceans blue
That on the water He walked
And down the long and lonely roads
With Jesus I have talked
I believe that as the wind blows
Ore fields of honey wheat
That he broke the bread and divided the fish
So that all five thousand could eat
I believe that when sin took over the world
And it seemed all hope was lost
That God laid down his only son
Upon a wooden cross
I believe they beat and scorned him
Till no one recognized his face
They said if you’re really Jesus
Save yourself from this place
I believe that no one knew
It was for them he suffered and died
The only Son of God
It seemed was cast aside
I believe no one could know the pain
As the spikes bore through his hands
I believe that very few even cared
As cheers rose up from the stands
Between two thieves he hung
A crown of thorns upon his head
For all mans sin he suffered
It was finished; the king was dead
All this happened so long ago
And in such a distant land
So we can have eternal life
And one day we will stand
Side by side with Jesus
On that great and distant shore
Where no more tears shall fall
We shall live forever more.
