HELP TOUR

It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:

1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

Target audience would be song lyric writers, however there's no categoty in the
Critique Circle to post lyrics. I would really like critique in order to know how to improve, even if you're not a lyric writer..and especially if you are!

THERE COMES A NEED

Vs. !a
I turn over my old pillow, it's a night that lasts too long,
Time keeps dragging on.
I canít get to sleep, Iíve quit counting sheep
Now Iím counting all the things that Iíve done wrong.
Then suddenly it dawns on me and I realize that deep inside
There comes a need......
On this sleepless night, deep inside my soul........
There comes a need.

Vs. 2a
I pull my blanket closer just to keep the memories warm
Dreams whirl past me like a storm.
Dreams of wasted places, wounded faces
They wonít settle down until Iím tired and worn.
Then suddenly it dawns on me
and I realize that deep inside
There comes a need......
On this sleepless night, deep inside my soul......
There comes a need.

Chorus
There comes a need
to know someone kind who understands......
A need for someone strong to take my hand.
Pull me across the darkness of the night
Show me how to wake up in the Light.
There comes a need.

Vs. 3a
I lie within the silence of a heart that breaks with pain
The efforts I have made were all in vain.
Just this emptiness,
is all thatís in me,
I guess......
The past keeps my heart bound up in chains.
Suddenly it dawns on me and I realize
deep inside
There comes a need.
On this sleepless night, deep inside my soul......
There comes a need.

Bridge
Is it you ,O Lord?
Do You know the secrets of my heart,
Can you reveal my hidden parts?
Is it You, O Lord?
Whoíll build up the waste places of my past?
Will You put away the memories and hold my present fast?
Is it You, O Lord?

Vs. 4a
Iím kneeling by my bedside
so very late at night..........
Surrendering to You, I give this life.
Tears soak my cheeks.......
I cannot speak
Amazed by grace......
Transformed by power and might.
And suddenly ......it dawns on me .....
I realize that deep inside
I can no longer hide..........
Deep inside my soul ........
You fill my need.

Chorus
You fill my need
to know someone strong who understands
A need for someone to take my hand.
Pull me across the darkness of the night
show me how to wake up in the Light.
You fill my need.
