a prayer for lost loved ones
“Heart Cry”
Dear God, please save my loved ones
Help them finally see
That salvation came through Jesus
When He died on Calvary
They placed Him on a cross
For all the world to see
But you would not look at Him
Dear God how could it be
That you would let Him die there
And not hear His faintest cry
Of why you had forsaken Him
And left Him there, to die
It was the first time ever
That you did not answer Him
Because He took our punishment
And became to you our sin
When He was buried in the grave
Our sins were buried too
Now your arms are open wide
And we can come to you
It was our cry not His you heard
On that most dreadful day
When Jesus died on Calvary
And bore our sin away
