It's easy to critique the works of others and get your work critiqued. Just follow the steps below:

1) Post your first piece.

2) You must then critique the work of another member to post another piece yourself.

3) For each critique you give, you earn 1 credit that can be used to post another one of your writings.

4) You can build up credits to be used at another time by giving critiques to others.

TITLE: The Moon Waxes Full Tonight

I wrote this at a time when I decided that what I believe from living under my parents' faith is what I choose to believe as mine (that evaluation period that normally hits during college).
I.
I cannot help but thrill
At her large, cool disk,
Lighting up a quiet night
With a light born of gentleness,
Distance, and time.
My fingers keep pace with
Dancing stars above
My crowded head.
I'm turned inwards, spilling
Out onto blank pages.

II.
I want to know if you
Really control the moon.
I want to know if you
Breathe warmth into the sun,
Sending it through the
Vast cooler around us,
To seep into my bones.
I want to know if you sing
On the wind, play in the trees,
Paint the sky with the flowers
You'll grow tomorrow.

III.
The sky is gentle tonight,
Warm, beckoning me
To leave questions behind,
And simply believe in the hand
You stretch out to me.

IV.
Faith is something
To be wrestled with.
Consider it my efforts
To find you in our game
Of seek, and whisper
In your ear-
"I believe"
